The Influence of BEing the Member of WTO for China
1. Introduction
　　After decades of efforts， China joined the WTO in 2001， it turns out it was one of the most significant thing happened in Chinese economy history. Things have been quite different after it. China had suffered quite a lot unjust economic treaties before joining the WTO， while it has gained more power and protection as well as chances after becoming a member of WTO. The case of the unjust anti-dumping duty order carried out by European Union against Chinese fastener companies was taken to develop more elaborate details in this paper.
　　2. The Case of Anti-dumping Duty Order
　　Dumping （pricing policy）， the pricing of a product below its cost of production， is not allowed in international trade. In 2009， EU decided to impose a 26.5%-85% anti-dumping tax of imported fasteners on China， which was the biggest producer of fasteners throughout the world. The increased tax was totally unreasonable because the price of exported fasteners from Chinese have met the criterion. The fastener industry suffered a fatal blow due to the order. To protect the right Chinese fastener companies， the Chinese government decided to sue EU after a long-term preparation. After the judgment of WTO， the Chinese fastener companies achieved a victory over this case.
　　It is a milestone victory. It represents China has been a part of WTO.
　　3. Conclusion
　　Since China joined the WTO， the stake of this action has been heatedly discussed. With the increasing economic communication between China and the world， the importance of this action， especially the merit of it， has been more realized by Chinese people.
　　The case of screw fastener anti-dumping， typically， is the best reply of the heated discussion. In 2011， due to the dominating position of European market share， Chinese-made screw fastener became the target of anti-dumping accused by EU. However， Chinese firms dealt with this case successfully according to the regulation made by WTO and finally attain the victory of this case.
　　It is the common agreement of regulations of WTO and the equal treatment of WTO for all its members that naturally become the protection of Chinese manufacturers accused by the arbitrary-made law. Therefore， the benefit of being the member of WTO for China has seemed to be realized.
