A Money-Raising Activity
in Xinhua School
On May 7 our school held a money-raising activity in order to do something for the people whose homes were destroyed by a serious mud-rock flow.
The activity was held on our playground, where approximately 3,000 students attended it. At the beginning of the activity, the President of the Students’ Union delivered a speech, after which all of us, including the staff and teachers, contributed generously.
At last, we collected about 80 thousand yuan. Although the money isn’t much enough to help them rebuild their homes, I believe more kind actions like ours will make a big difference to them.
I hope that more people will join us, helping them get back to their normal life as soon as possible.
